New Additions to Red Bar Photos

January 23rd, 2009

New photo collections have been added to the Red Bar Photos! Gary Mackender, from the Office of Student Computing Resources (OSCR), and Scott Kirkessner, from the Office of Admissions, have generously donated some terrific shots of campus and campus life for the UA community to use. Please credit these photographers when using their images.

New shots will be continuously added, so check back often. And please let us know if there is an image you’d like to see that’s currently not available.

The Newest Improved Red Bar Cafe

October 8th, 2008

As promised, the “More to Come” is here.  The Red Bar Café now features these latest additions:

Block A Arizona logo
The new Block ‘A’ Arizona logo in red, blue, red/blue, and black is a welcome addition to the set of official UA logos.  This logo offers UA name recognition (“Arizona”) with the Block A.  This is a more compact logo that speaks to our Arizona ID and to our land grant mission to serve the entire state of Arizona.   You will also notice that the solo Block ‘A’ logo has been retired from use in print, web and electronic media. The Block ‘A’ Arizona logo replaces the solo Block ‘A’ and has a minimum use size of .75”, which will work well for small format pieces. Click on the Logos, Fonts & Colors tab for more information and to download this and other logos.

Print Banners using Extended Palette Colors
Many people across the UA campus have requested more flexibility in the use of color with UA print banners.  So we now offer print banners in the full range of UA Extended Palette Colors.

Archer Font
This new font ‘Archer’ is available for campus use. It’s a square or ‘slab’ serif font face.  It is versatile and can be used successfully for headlines or body copy. Although it is a new family of fonts, it has a traditional appeal.  Of particular note, the capital A in this font looks very much like our original Block ‘A’ logo type.

Institutional PowerPoint
This new PowerPoint offers a quick, visual overview of The University of Arizona. Use it to introduce your own presentations and customize it to meet your needs.

New and Improved Red Bar Café

September 9th, 2008

Our first Red Bar Café had outgrown its space and needed to be remodeled. This version is better organized so it will be easier to find the tools you need to support the UA brand. Here’s what’s new: a square-serif font in regular, bold and italic and an institutional PowerPoint. And more is on the way — check out the news about photography. Soon an entirely new photo bank will be available for campus use. The News section will highlight each addition to the Red Bar Café so you can quickly see what’s been added.

New Institutional Photos

August 26th, 2008

External Relations is currently contracting with 5 photographers to create an institutional photo gallery open for use across campus. Keep an eye on Red Bar Stock for new photos to be added to the collection. Below is a small sample of some of the images.
